Liberty Christian School

Liberty Christian School is a K-12 education using the Abeka curriculum. This fall brought our 45th  year in educating young people from a Biblical perspective.

Mission Statement

Liberty Christian School exists for the following purposes:

  1. To lead the student to acknowledge Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.
  2. To declare God's truth and guide the student's experience so that he may develop into a mature Christian individual.
  3. Before academic learning can effectively take place, students need character built into them. Thus, our foremost tool of education is the principles of the Bible coupled with discipline.
  4. To provide a learning situation in which each student can develop their potentials to the highest degree. Academic truth is one aspect of this goal.

Our Goals

The purpose of Liberty Christian School is to operate in accordance with these fundamentals: development of Christian character, Biblical interpersonal relationships, responsible citizenship; promotion of good health; command of fundamental processes; preparation for vocation; and the worthy use of leisure time. It is the school's desire to be a reinforcement of the Christian home. We believe the home and church are the two institutions ordained by God to carry out His plan for the Christian life. LCS does not attempt nor desire to replace the Christian home, but tries to strengthen the home as God wants it to be according to His Word. Our goal is to pursue excellence in all areas.

Methods

We use materials from Abeka program. These materials are adapted to the individual. Each student who comes to our school is prescribed learning materials at their own academic level. We use the Master Video program with each student studying individually.

Each student has their own personal study space. We feel this promotes a greater opportunity for effective learning as it limits unnecessary distractions. There is ample room for their curriculum as well as any other supplies needed for their daily routines.
